Sorry if this has been asked a million times.
But I'm thinking about getting a 07 tC mid February and if I do I wanna try to get my interior re upholstered to Leather at a local place.

I was wondering if anyone has done this or had it done and has pics of it.

The dealer I went to had a shop that did it for them. Check their price against a local place and see the price difference. You can also do it yourself, but it takes time and patience, two things which I don't have.

 

I agree. I know a place that sells a nice heated seat kit too..So hopefully ill be able to set something up.

 

I used to talk to a guy that does special leather interior, I was actually thinking about calling him up for a diffrent reason, but when I find his card, ill let you know what his prices are! Good luck otherwise

 

I got mine done with Katzkin leather. Front and rear seats and the door panels for $945 installed.

 

Its also an option when you by the car, albeit an expensive one. Around $1,500.00 I think. That $945.00 is awesome!!

 

Its not a Scion option it was probably just a Dealer thing because i know my Dealer doesn't do Leather Interiors.

It's a dealer option! The Automotive Dealer Association will NOT let dealers install new covers unless they are factory over side curtain airbags(if you have them). They don't want dealers to be liable if the bag does not go through the cover if deployed.

Upside is that Katzkin has documentation that states that the bag will deploy through their covers. They have tested them.

 

Ya I will definitely be hitting up Katzkins. One quick question from me though. What do some of you guys do with the mid section near the pull bar on the door panel? Do Katzkins do that with leather?

 

look at the pictures above, katzkin makes replacements for that area.

 

Does katzkin make the leather for the center armrest as well?

Yeah, I saw it. That's why I asked. That's the only reason I was skeptical about leather interiors for the tC. But now I'm sold on it.

 

Where did you get yours installed?

Outside or at from the Scion Dealer?
