alright here's how it's set up. bring power from the battery in through the grommet and then just make a couple of splices to bring power to each transformer. I have them ziptied up out of sight.

***i currently have the factory illumination kit, is it possible to replace all the tubes and leds from the factory into cathode leds and cathode tubes and not rip out all the factory stuff (cutting of factory leds and putting cathode leds in place)***

if your not for sure could you direct me to someone who does, thanks a lot

i dont think there are such things as "cathode leds". leds are leds and cathodes are cathodes. im not sure about the replacement thing though.. i just know that you might have to rewire the whole thing if you want to change it from the factory illumination.

what are cathode leds?

yeah.. whatever.. you can cut your stock stuff and still use the wiring... but why do it?

it'll be easier just to rewire everything up yourself... it'll save you from damaging your stock stuff.

just go to autozone and get a mini add-a-circuit. it's made by littelfuse.

like 7 bucks and comes w/ mini fuses in the box.

add that to an open fuse slot.

or if your feeling ambitious, go to autozone again and get an auxilary fuse box and wire that under the dash. I now have all my auxilary power needs supplied by my secondary fuse box.

i dont completely understand what your asking....

yes you can run all of that off of 1 fuse.

and just run a wire to the cupholder area...

ok im really lost. i want to hook up 2 led strips to a switch i got from autozone and to the fuse box under the stearing wheel (the cig light fuse) but i dont know what im doing at all. i wraped the wires around the fuse and stuck it back up in the box and the cig lighter worked but my leds wouldnt come on. (but i did have the car on and poked the wires up in the box to make sure they work and they do) each led had 2 wires.

so my question is... what wires goes where? which to the fuse box and which to the switch? also do i need a 3rd wire for somthing? my switch has 3 slots each labled.

*one says supply volts
*one says on acc
*the third says earth ground

so what whires go where?

red wire from fuse to slot on switch that says "supply volts"

another red wire from the "acc" slot on the switch to the led strips

black wire from led strips goes to ground

black wire from "ground" slot on switch goes to ground
