Default max depth of front speakers?

I just ordered some CDT Es comps and didnt think to look at the depth of em

anywhoo the spec sheet says 2.75" witch is 2-7/8"

I got some speaker adaptors made at work but all we have is 1/2"
I read up and saw that 3/4" is a little better but thats only 1/4 inch

anywho has anyone had problems with mounting depth or know roughly what the mounting depth is?

thanks

That's ok, because if they don't give you adequate depth, you can double-up on them and make a 1" spacer.

And yes, 2.75" = 2-3/4", NOT 2-7/8"
