Missing the T302 chip, please help!!
Okay, here is the story.......
I was trying to fix my 07 HVAC lighting issue with this method
https://www.scionlife.com/forums/vie...lighting+issue
while I was on step 4
4) With a low power soldering iron with the tip tinned just a tad, reheat the solder joints on each of the three legs so the solder reflows.
my soldering iron complete melt the joint and the T302 chip stick on to my soldering iron. When I tried to place the chip back. I drop the chip on my carpet........ it a think woolen carpet with really tall hair..... I couldn't find the chip after 30 min of searching......
So.....here are my questions:
1. will my HAVC work without the T302 chip?
2. if I want to replace the chip, what kind of chip should I use
Thanks

It is very hard to find the exact match for that part since it is hard to test and there are no markings on it. I can see if I have one of my parts boards left over to rob one from, but none of them are 07's so the only way I can say for sure is if you were to ship me yours to swap it out and test it.
The HVAC should work, but the lighting will still be off. There is another rigged up fix on here somewhere that will make the lights work, but not dim with the dimmer as well.
If you would like to send it to me I can try to take a look. I am trying to do a couple of tests when I have time to figure out the type of transistor by trial and error as well. Once I figure that out I can determine a direct replacement part number from digikey.

wow, that's very nice of you. I still kinda need the AC right now since it's still quite chill in Boston area right now. Will be difficult without the AC. Is that okay I contact you next month for the HVAC problem? Thanks a lot
