It's either the fuses or the alternator, methinks.

wait. what did you wire up the neons up to? You should have wired them up directly to the battery.

If you grounded a live wire and it sparked.....you have a blown fuse. Keep looking....you'll find it.

Why were you doing electrical work with the battery hooked-up anyway?

read your manual? theres something in there about windows not working/car not starting. you have to hold the key at a certain position or something

Check the fuses under the hood. That happened to me once on a Corolla and it was the dome fuse. When that blew the clock / radio / interior lights / and some other things didn't work.

That doesn't explain why it doesn't start but that might help some of your other problems.

^x2 there is a reset process for the sunroof, if that dosen't work you still have blown fuses, get a tester.

i remember my BMW had a blown fuse, radio, speedo, clock and a few other htings didnt work... pull each fuse and inspect it carefully that is most likely the issue.... ur lucky ur not dealing with an audi cuz those are worse to work out the electrical kinks
