well, its ok? the subs and amp wont work. You can put 6.5" speakers up front and i would suggest putting components. i can explain components later.

How much are you willing to spend? and do you preferr pioneer only? Alpine makes great products!

well for those subs, the amp should be around 3-400Wx4 @ 4ohm. I looked up some pioneer amps and havent seen that?

I would go with this, and im pushing alpine products cause ive owned them and they're awsome!

ALPINE SWR-1242D 12" 1500W max (500W rms)

ALPINE MRP-M650 400x1@4ohm 600x1@2ohm

ALPINE SPS-171A 6.5" Comps 250W max (50W rms)

ALPINE MRP-F250 40x4@4 ohms

I own the sps-171a and i love them! But i recently bought some CDT comps and pending the install next month! Can't wait!

you can find all of this on ebay! 1 Type-R sub will be plenty IMO?

Lets say i got rid of those two amps and bought two other amps for those subs, which brand and type would you suggest that goes best with those two 1000 watt subs

ok, it sounds like you were gonna run 2 amps to 2 subs. You can have 1 amp for 2 subs, as long as its a 2ch or more amp. You still wanna stay with those subs im guessing? Just because the subs say 1000W doesnt mean to put 1000W to them, cause you wont get the best sound. I would say around 3-400W and they will sound good!

i would really go with 1 alpine type r and get alot more power out of it?

ALPINE SWR-1242D 12" 1500W max (500W rms)

ALPINE MRP-M650 400x1@4ohm 600x1@2ohm

my type-s is smaller than that type-r and it gets some serious bass!!!

What do you think of the looks of that so far, amps will go in the middle. Its still not done yet and im thinking about getting something built on top of that to put a TV in. All the equipment is supposed to be here tomorrow and wednesday so it should be done pretty soon.

Sorry to be off-topic, but do you need to buy speaker brackets in order to install the new speakers? Or is it simply remove stock speaker and install new one? The reason I ask is Polk has a deal where you buy one set of speakers and get a second set of speakers 1/2 price. (Through 06/20/06.) I was looking at the Polk db650s. Thanks.

On topic-yeah, Alpine does make great products! I just switched out my stock HU for a new Alpine HU and the difference is night and day. To me. the front speakers are good in the tC, the rear speakers need a little help. And for 1/2 off, I might as well switch out both.

That'll all work fine, don't worry. The mono amp will provide adequate power for those subs, no need to get something different. You might consider changing the speakers in your list, stay away from 3-way "triaxials", component satellites would be best, followed by coaxials with swivel tweeters. Should sound fairly decent if tuned correctly.

that box is quite impressive. i really like the styling of it. are you making it yourself or do you have someone helping you.. also is it made for the specs of the speakers?
im still in the process of finishing my trunk, but i still have about 15 hours of break in time left on the speakers before i can fully tune them. the box i have is built to the speakers specs, heres 2 photos of the install as it sits now. please note the facials are not made yet, this is because im waiting to tune the box then we will make the facials.
