Default Need custom fiberglass enclosures built for my TC (SOCAL)

Im trying to work out a dual enclosure for my TC. I just acquired two MOMO 12's and they sound great in the enclosure I got in the deal but it eats up to much space and the internal volume is greater than the .88 recommended. I would like to get some custom enclosures made so I can put the subs in as shown in the image below. I don't mind coming just a bit more to get the needed airspace. My question is do you guys think I can get the .88 per side? I intend for the enclosure to go into the cubby behind the sub and also up into the space between the sub and back seats.

What do you think about the angle of the subs? I really have no way to test how they will sound at that angle because my enclosure is so large.

Oh cool. Couple more questions if you don't mind. What should I expect as far as price goes for both enclosures? Also other than the angle up as shown, are yours firing straight across or slight foward, back, etc..?

If there is anyone local that knows how to do this, and do it right, throw me some quotes for both sides. I would want them carpeted to match the interior as close as possible.

Go to bassforms.com you can get some ideas. I have thier 10" enclosures. I wouldn't recomend them, the finish is good but they do not fit the car worth a crap! For the price you can get some custom made. They look good on the web site but don't fit like they look on the site.

Thanks.. What they showed was about what Im going for but theirs is 10" and the price is high. For that I can try to do my own, screw up a few times until I get it right and still come out way under that.

Yea I got mine when they were alittle cheaper than they are asking now. I should be able to modify them to fit, I just haven't had time, but for that price you shouldn't have to.

Ok I plan to try and tackle this myself but need some input. I know since this would be my first attempt I really do not want to try and do it "IN CAR" because the way my luck runs I would end up with fiberglassed interior

So I need some ideas for making a mold first so I can fiberglass it out of the car.

im pretty sure its .88 cubes plus the volume of the woofer. like my enclosure is 1.8cu and the recommended size is 1.2

I was going by the internal volume of their enclosure.
http://www.polkaudio.com/caraudio/specs/subs/mm12/

They do not specify if that includes displacement and I cannot find the displacement of the sub itself.

well do the math yourself
and if i did my math right the sub according to the dimensions on that page has 1.1cuft of displacement or 1901cuin
but that includes the grill and all that other stuff so im guessing the driver and basket are about .7 cuft of displacement but thats a wild guess

Yes I did the math according to the dimensions they show but does that include the huge curve in the Plexiglas that takes out an entire corner and then some? That curve eats up quite a bit of airspace.

Ok after looking around I found that for this sub the .88 is the volume of the enclosure itself and you do not factor in the displacement of the sub. So that curved box I linked to is .88, which means that curve uses of .13 of the airspace.

Anyway my enclosures need to be .88 but I still need input on how to make a mold so I can build the enclosures out of the car.
