Default Need Help Cubby light LED 5V 12V???

Hi, I accidentaly bought two Blue LED bulbs from Radioshack thinking that I could use them for my cubby hole...

Any ways I kinda ripped up the ox so i can;t return it and i don;t wanna waste these bulbs by not using them... So is there anyway i can use em???

Here is the specs of the LED

Features

Size: T-1-3/4 or 5mm
Typical voltage: 5.0, with a maximum voltage of 6.0V
Typical wavelength: 430mm
Typical MCD: 300
Viewing angle: 24°
30mA (max)
Sold in package of 1
Color: Blue

Anyways seeing how its 5v-6v can i do a circuit like this??? i Plan on using both LEDs...

12v - Resistor - LED - LED - Ground

I have no problem creating a small circuit and no probs with soldering but the thing is i don;t know that much about electricity so what kind of resistor should i use??? There is a ITC store right down the block and i would ask the person there but on the days I come home from school this woman works there and she doesn;t know anything about electronics...

anyone know what i can do???

i would use a 470 ohm 1/2 watt resistor. as far as you wiring the leds the way that you wrote it if you use one resistor as tie the leds off of it won't be as bright. I would use one resistor on each led
