Need Some Help From Audio Experts...
So, I just recently purchased some subs of someone here on SL, they are the Clarion SW12X (2). Here are the specs...
* Sensitivity: 82 dB
* Frequency Response: 35-500 Hz
* Recommended RMS Power: 300W
* Peak Power Handling: 600W
* Impedance: 4 ohms subwoofer wiring options
What amp(s) should I run to power this? And, I was thinking of running these speakers: Infinity Reference 5010cs. Here are these specs...
2-way external crossover network (18 dB/octave, 3,500 Hz high-pass and low-pass)
Power range: 2-75 watts RMS (225 watts peak power)
Frequency response: 67-21,000 Hz
Sensitivity: 91 dB
What amp would be good to power this. I am currently not in the market to change my ipod HU, and looking to run these off amps. I just need some help on deciding what amps would be best bang for the buck, and obviously best sound. Any links and comments would be greatly appreciated.

I think you can use this for the Clarion SW12X:
http://www.alpine-usa.com/US-en/prod...model=MRP-M650
And this for the Infinity Reference 5010cs:
http://www.alpine-usa.com/US-en/prod...model=MRP-F250
But then again, there might be another amp that will suit your needs.

Go with a kicker 400.1 mono block amplifier, It will be much cheaper and sound pretty good. I had kicker amps in my car for two years and they were reliable and preformed great.
I just installed Rainbow sound line components in my tC tonight actually and i am amazed by how much better they sound than infinity or polk components that i have ever heard, infinity perfect and polk momo components. If you do go with the reference components you could get a regular kicker 350.4 amp and be fine, not over or under powering them.
If you are working on a budget, and since you are keeping the factory head unit i would say kicker would be just fine. If you are looking for some excellent SQ then get some better equipment, not to mention a new HU. Good luck.
Oh and that kicker mono block is really tiny so if you only go with one amp you could easily mount it under the passenger seat and keep some room in your trunk, since we barely have one anyway

I have a Rockford P3001 for sale if interested. I usually do not ship items this big..but it needs a home! I used it for about 6 months with no problems.

It is stable to 2 ohms and you can run the subs in parallel. Just let me know! I ran a DVC sub around 250 rms and it sounded pretty decent. I never tuned the sub/car/electronics properly..so it probably could sound better. Stopped using it because I bought an Alpine for a steal of a deal.

Well if each speaker wants 300W RMS, then give it atleast 150W RMS but the closer to 300W RMS. The 5010cs is way too weak(remember peak power doesn't mean a thing).
Do either a dual channel amp putting out atleast 150W RMS x2 or a 4 channel amp that does atleast 150W RMS x 2.
Ikesound has a lot of good prices on amps. Stick with good brands like Kicker, Pioneer, Alpine, RF, MTX,
Here's a Pioneer amp I found real quick:

Only your ears can decide what the best speakers are for the money. I would get Focal, I absolutely love their sound(as do most). But for a few brands check out: Focal, Infinity, Boston Acoustics, Pioneer, Alpine, Elemental Designs, CDT
Bring music you love to figure out which speakers sound best
