Default New JL Audio 10" subwoofer installed in my tC!

Ok, it's late, so I'll put more info tomorrow, along with actual photos.

I have the JL Audio 10w0 in a sealed box running from a Lightning Audio Bolt b250.1 mono amp, all at a "humble" 150w RMS.

The sound? Pounding, but clean! I can't even put the gain past the halfway mark without seriously drowning the treble.

Honestly, this sub is plenty enough to shake up the sound and can compare in clarity and power to at least a Rockford Punch 2

More tomorrow (plus the story/ordeal in finally getting it all done!)

yeah JL audio always has had the best sounding subs out there.. very clean and accurate.. even with only 150watts it sounds much louder.. they make some awesome subs!

pics definitely love to see some pics!!

I had a JL 10w6v2 and a JL 500/1 Mono Amp and it sounded pretty damn good ... I got a deal from my local audio shop about doing my car all Alpine, so I switch to Alpine 10" TypeX & an MRD-M501 Mono Amp ... The sub sounded alot more clear and hit alot harder and lwoer. So far I found Alpine and can't find anything in my likings to beat it! (without jumping to a bigger sub or more power)

depending on how hot that amp runs and how much your sub vibrates that box, you might reconsider mounting it on the back panel of the enclosure. but it looks decent, nice and clean.

Must be nice to have a grill on the woofer.

Most of mine can't fit a grill so no cargo in the back. =/

check out the partsexpress bar grills. better than nothing and they'll fit over anything (virtually)

Yea I've seen stuff like that. I rather go without cargo then risk puncturing a $500 sub.
