thats only through a couple pages! I said it before and ill say it again....

"welcome to the club ! It will never work, even when you take it to the dealer. They will give you a new one and that one will do the same! That "ERROR" was your cue to get a "NEW" HU!

dont get the same one! If anything, get a newer model, sell it and get an aftermarket! I love my Alpine! Shows you how good Pioneer is.....?

I get the "Error 4" and "Error 3" for the "error 4" only way to get out of it, is to turn off your car completely. and the "error 3" you can just turn off your radio, and turn it back on... the error 4 makes me want to throw my HU through the wall.

Its happening to me too, and I have yet to use a burnt cd in my unit. If you go to the cd players manual it tells you what all the errors mean. I beleive error 4 is a current issue. I will double check. Mine is do for an oil change so I am taking it in then. They will most likely replace it under warranty but I've heard that people have the same issue again when they get the new one.

i have a friend that works for toyota, fixing and installing factory stereos and alarms... i called him cuz i was having the same problem and he said that ERROR-4 means that theres a jammed CD. It happens when you use burnt CD's because of the thickness of it. He said just to get an aftermarket one because all the factory ones will keep having the same prob. Its not an electrical problem its a problem with the Changer itself. I wonder if Toyota might recall it... THEY SHOULD!!
