I used the Neothin tools...

DAP contact cement
paint brushes
and the screws for the door panels

As for how you apply it I'll have to get back to you on that.

Yeah I'm gonna do that. I just tried one to see how it would look but I picked up what looks to be the hardest one to do. I'm in no big rush cuz my motor is still out.

Do you think you will remove the fabric already there? or just apply it on? Where did you get your suede?

Haven't gotten too far. I'll try to get some done tomorrow if I don't spend too long helping my friend drop his motor in. Until then search for suede and there should be a few people that pop up that has done it.

BTW, I bought some spay sticky stuff at a fabric store to try and you that instead. The paint on contact cement didn't seem to stick all that great right on the plastic. I might try to keep the old fabric on or maybe just use a lot more but we'll see.

I removed the old fabric on a test one but it didn't seem to stick so as mentioned I'm gonna try with fabric, use more cement, and/or the spray stuff. I'll let you know what works.

Got the suede from calico corners. It was a little more money but after seeing the Joannes Fabric suede it was worth it. I only say that cuz the stuff that was at Joannes was collecting lint and looked like fake suede. They may have some other suede but that's what I saw. The stuff I got was clean and looked like real suede but it wasn't.

The sample they gave me from joanns is nice, but it is very thin. I will have to see if there is a Calico Corners here. Take lots of pictures! I hope to use this thread as my main reference.

What spray stuff are you talking about?

What color are you doing your interior?

i am getting my suede from gulf fabrics. they sell REAL alcantara or ultrasuede. i heard this is the best because its the only stuff that has some UV resistance and wont fade over time.

i also was told that using spray glue (3M #90) wont work with the suede because it leaks through.

im going to get a spray gun and contact cement but its helpful to know to leave the fabric on.

NO the spray glue leaks through and you have to put too much. my friend who is going to help me said he needed to buy a sprayer and contact cement. he said its the only thing that can handle the temperature swings and still stick

Fabric on will probably be good. I know that Neothin said that on the headliner he took it off cuz of some reason.

Screws are for the door panels, they are like plastic welded or something so you need them to put back on.

I tried to us the spray stuff I got but it was a big mess. I tried to use the contact cement on the fabric instead of removing it and it started to work but then the fabric started to slide off. I'm stuck now. I'm gonna try next weekend with a friend and if that don't work I have a couple of people that have done it before and I'll see if I can get them to help or just pay them to do it.
