Opinions on the JVC KW-AVX710 and or Kenwood DDX512?
Hello all!
I'm looking into getting a double din for my 08 Tc. And I've been doing a lot of researching. So far I have come across the correct metra kit, and the wiring harness on here. Now, I am trying to narrow down which unit to go with. I want to add XM/Sirius to the unit which i am sure you can for both. It's all boiling down to either having the EQ settings or the 5V preouts. (note: I'm not huge on bass, but it's always a nice fill; not bump'n) cause I have a 400 watt pioneer mono amp and sub.
Either the
JVC KW-AVX710
What I like about this unit is the 7-band EQ settings
Only downfall is it has a 2.5 V preamp out for the rear (no sub preout) Would this one be ok if I only plan to use/hook up one amp to the rear..and will it sound "ok"?
OR...
Kenwood DDX512
This one is opposite... I lik how it has preamp for the front, rear, and sub, but only has a 3 EQ curve with no presets. Should I only consider this one if I want to add more than one amp (front rear and sub?
Thanks for the opinions

Hey I just got the DDX-512 installed last week. I have to say its awesome for the price got it off amazon for $450 brand new. You should get the DDX-512 you do have a User EQ setting. And has the preamp for a subwoofer which I plan on adding, stock speakers sound more crisp. The Ipod control is blazing fast no lag at all, DVDs look great tons of features. Make sure you upgrade the firmware it fixes some minor glitches. I dunno about JVC but Kenwood is better cause it specializes on car products. I havent really read anything about JVC headunits.

Appreciate the opinions, NeXuS and every one else! Kenwood it is.
...I stepped it up to the next kenwood model because the ddx712 comes with a remote, and the ddx512 did not (extra 30 bucks for a remote)... So, the ddx712 was like an extra 50 bucks in the end. I ended up getting it for 550 shipped with a wire harness and install kit free w/ my order on sonicelectronics.com
