Default Painting the Plastic extras in my tC. Any tips??

I'm looking to paint the plastic accessories in my 07 Scion tC RS 3.0 white. I'm going to paint the center console, vent linings, plastic around the gauges, and almost anything else silver and plastic in that area. I figured out how to remove the center console stuff and gauge plastic but was wondering if the vents popped out easily and if anyone had any pointers, tips, or warnings about this whole process. Is sanding necessary? I already have good plastic paint, satin white in color. I'm tired of looking like every other white tc out there. It's difficult for someone to notice my car is limited edition so I want to make it so you won’t mistake this for just a super white tc lol. All tips are welcome pertaining to anything about this process. Thanks in advance and I look forward to seeing some ideas.

My tip, SEARCH. Goto the DIY section and you'll find all of your answers.

See I did that and the only things that have DIY for painting are wheels, needles, and calipers so I posted this to try and get some advice. So thanks but it didn't help. If you found something that I didn't see maybe you could link it or PM me. Thanks.

There are a couple DIY's on here with close to 100 pages of input.

Go to ADVANCED search, select 'search entire posts,' select the 1st Gen ICE & Interior forum' For keywords, type things like 'paint' 'interior' 'sand' 'primer'
