painting waterfall question
I'm painting my waterfall this weekend just waiting for my flint mica paint to come in the mail. I have all the metirial I need: sad paper, wax and grease remover, adhension promoter, and the paint that's coming in the mail and gloss. My question is what kind of primer do I use? Just regular gray or the sandable primer? Any input would help

when i painted a few interiors i would sand them down and then clean it with rubbing alcohol so it would have no dust on it and then used the gray sandable primier , after sand down the primer smooth so no orange peel or runs would be on the panel before putting a few coats of paint on it. if you still get orange peel then just wetsand it again with a 1500-2000 grit sandpaper to try and get least sanding marks as possible and then spray a light coat of clear and wait for it dry, and add about 2 coats after and wait for it to dry to wetsand all off the orange peel on it and polish and buff it after with a buffer for a while.

I was just going to use this tutorial on the site here: http://www.howtocar.net (just scroll down a bit and you'll see it). Also gives links for all the items you need which is great for blondes like me.

i actually got mine done by some guy named FLEA out in cali. he does great jobs but IDK if he still does it or not
you dont need the primer but it wouldnt hurt to put a light coat of it on
