Woot!

Just got my D3 put in last night @ Best Buy!

BB was offering the Sirius Tuner free with purchase so I jumped on that and got everything installed!

Just ordered the metra kit to add to it for the side pieces and will drill the brackets when that comes in! Thinking about ordering a remote for it as well!

^ its great. it doesnt sound as good as my old 8600DEH deck is, but after tuning it alot more and more, the sq difference is barely noticeable. only grip i have on it is that the beep noise it makes when you push a button was recorded crappy so theres some extra noise after you press it. other than that the eq controls can be a bit better (have control on the HPF slopes and what not) but it overall can put out a really great sounding system.

You didn't have to pay anyone to install it.

I've never installed a nav unit before, either. And I was able to do it in less than an hour. Only thing that took the most time was soldering the D3's harness to my Metra harness. But other than that, it was cake.

At least look at what you have to do before you throw in the towel and ask for help.

I like soldering. It's almost like welding, but totally not at all.

Finally installed mine. Got everything working except the bypass. I pulled it apart again today but still says that the ebrake is improperly connected. I will figure it out.
Here is a quick pic since we all know what it looks like.

I did the bypass this way. Much easier, and you don't have to unscrew anything or tie the wire to any bolts or whatever.
