it doesnt play dvds. u have to add an external dvd source like a ps2 slim. i've dont it on mine but it kills alot of battery and such a hassle to power and insert the disc so i decided to just grab a d3. dont get a d1/d2. just save and get a d3.

The load time on the F90BT can be painful. It depends on what you are using to play music. USB and SD are the slowest to load. I hear iPod is better. CD is good only a few seconds.

I don't know if anyone makes a pre-wired harness for the F-Series. It is only about 20 wires.

I even did a write up on how to install a F90BT in a tC for anther user who requested it.

Hey I understand, I almost had someone install this for me because I didn't want to do it plus I thought I was hard to do.

But take a look, I think you will see it is really easy.

Another thing is I hear Eclipse is coming out with a new 8" touch screen unit soon.

Well the bypass also allows you to work the GPS while moving. Something which is nice if you are looking for a gas station or something on a road trip.

But watching videos while driving is a bad idea.

I know with my F90BT I am not very happy with how it plays videos. Choppy at times and froze the system up for about 30 secs when I played one video. I have not toyed around with it to see if ripping them differently improves responsiveness. The web site I was reading made it sound like it does improve, but I just didn't take the time to re-rip my videos.

Yeah, LIke i want a new hu, like the pioneer avhp3100. but then for what? I cant even watch movies while i drive, cuz its so dangerous! and how often will i sit in my car and watch a dvd?

I'm very interested in teh idea that it can play music off usb, but that's it.

It is pretty cool to have, but that is about it. I show my friends and they think it is really cool and then ask if I use it. Then I tell them no.

I do watch TV on it when I am waiting for friends and such. I can't get reception when the car is moving (probably a good thing) but I do get to catch up on the weather or news.
