Nice setup, you might want to angle your camera down a bit
so when you backup, you'll see better. I had the 1st gen eclipse backeye cam, now with the ND-BC1, both works good. I have my camera mount on the top left hand corner of the license plate.

trialsindude

Does the cam have a specific side that has to be up an the other side down? Or can you adjust the image with the HU?

You have to unscrew the camera from its base and flip it accordingly. It has a impression on the one side which means this side up!

I just finished my D3 install with the reverse cam, I'll post up some pics later on this week where I have my cam mounted (different than "trialsindude") so you can get some ideas.

Sorry guys busy week at work, here's my reverse cam pics:

I unscrew the base and turn it upside down so I can have the base at the top of the cam (cam only has one side up). I tucked it behind the left side of the rear hatch door opener as you can see from the pics (I still have full access to the door opener), which gave me perfect angle viewing the edge of my rear bumper. Since my car is CSM, stands out more than usual but not really (unless your looking for the cam like we all are here). If you have a darker color vehicle or even a liscense plate frame, the cam should blend right in.

Let me know what you guys think!

The D3 camera looks different than the D2 camera - are they interchangeable or do you need a specific one for each? Looks like the D3 is smaller...

Default D3 and XM module

I Finally got all my stuff in from Crutchfield (D3/reverse cam/xm module/bluetooth/pac/ipod cable) and I was wondering if anyone could tell me if you need to run power to the xm module...I installed the factory XM and to my surprise I found that no power was needed.. is it the same for the real pioneer unit?

Also, has anyone done the bluetooth install on the D3 yet?

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Where I put my cam:

I know some may not like this but I think it looks much cleaner and theft proof this way.

Hawgs, did you have a shop do the install for yours or did you do it yourself? Looks amazing and much cleaner in my opinion.

That is pretty nice - you're probably the only person who is drilling holes, so you gotta know what you're doing there, but I don't think you'll get any arguments about how clean it looks! nice work.
