Post Pics of Your tC System Here
#341
Here are some pics of my current setup. It's a fairly straightforward, but all my installs in the past have been that way. After getting some amp placement ideas from this very thread, I went ahead and built an angled amp rack to accomodate everything.
The sound is insanely clean, tight and loud. Perfect for what I like to listen to. I love it! I was also pleasantly surprised that there were no rattles or awful vibrations coming from the tC once I really turned up the volume and adjusted the bass. I'll probably go back and do some weather stripping on the license plate frame just as a precaution. Didn't take any pics of the front door components because there's not much there to see.

quick question, Ive got the same exact set up, but over the last few months I've started to get a little sagage, right here:
Any ideas how I could correct it? do I need to take it all apart and just put some 3m double side tape on it?

Hi
Been installing stereos for over 11 years now (4 years professional)
The best sub i have heard (and yes i've heard it in a tC) is RE http://www.reaudio.com/html/
JL, MTX, Kicker i have heard them all (and yes all in a tC) and they don't hit anywhere nearly as low and loud (i'm talking low, boom SPL not SQL bass) like the RE do...
I seen it hooked up to a nice old school autotek amp and holy crap they freaking hit so low and loud it was incredible...
It actually prompted me to grab a tC (which i just bought 2 days ago and is awaiting for the dealer to get it in ~ I live in hawaii so it's coming by barge)...
I will be posting some pics once me and my other (award winning IASCA installers) get done with it.... They owe me one so i got 2 of them and myself making it our pet project....

I've been getting that too.

I was feeling good about my system until I read through this thread, but nevertheless, i'll post pix of mine for those who are budget oriented - lol
Actually my old amp here, I upgraded to a pioneer, but I haven't taken any pix. Same look/location, just different amp:
DVD/NAV - the highlight of my unit!
I've got some polk db6500s in the front and 650s in the rear

I guess i'll go ahead and post mine, i've had it for a few months now. Also, the pictures aren't the best out there...i'm new to this
Equipment:
Alpine 9857 Headunit
Focal Polyglass V1 Components
Focal V1 Coaxials
JL A1400 amp
JL A4300 amp
2 JL W3V3-4 Subwoofers
This is the hatch view of the sub's.
Here are the two amps mounted onto the back of the rear seats.
This is something that i really enjoy. It's two straps bolted onto two sides of the sub box then mounted into the cargo straps. The box can't move under way but if you need more storage for something you unclip it and the quick release power cord to the subs and it lifts out.
Here is the Alpine Headunit
This is a view of the Focal components. You cant really see them as i wanted to keep the stock speaker covers.
Just another view of the amps.
And Finally the w3 logo

Here is my modest system:
I wanted to go with an OEM look, so I designed the facade to look like the dash of the car. The curves in the fiberglass were a real challenge. This is probably the most complex install I have ever done.
The system is all JL Audio. I was going for audio quality/clarity, so I went with 2 of the JL 8W7s in a very specifically designed enclosure. It was tuned for 40Hz which was a challenge since the length of the port was wider than the trunk. We opted for a symetrical design using two ports that fold back on themselves. I am very happy with the results.
Very clean, but not over the top. And the system sounds fantastic.
The car was stripped to the metal and 3 layers of sound insulation were installed.
This install was actually done about a year ago and the components are for sale. Check out your For Sale section if you are interested.
Here is another pic.

i'm still using the same 10" Alpine Type-R and 301M Rockford Fosgate amp but i made myself a new bigger box. as you can see it's ported(port shooting out the top right at the hatch window). it's tuned to about 28-30 hzs and is 2 cubic feet. the crappy Q-Logic one i had before was tuned way to high and sounded bad. this one is louder and has a lot better SQ. here are a couple pics....
