Got mine finished up today. Pretty happy with it. Takes up minimal space, still have my spair and the tool kit under there. Seats recline and fold down like normal. Doesnt way much and the sub hits hard.

Tell me what ya think:

Looks really good dude! I have an azure pearl also (coinsidence). I asked at my spot if they could do anything like that and they said it wouldnt fit, how much did it cost? I got a 10'' R-type Alpine that i would love to hide in a little like that, it takes up way too much room and i hate opening my trunk in L.A. envious people ya know...

Well for the box setup and the floor was about $145. Then with the amp install, line converter, amp wiring, total was $230. Not to bad at all. I know what you mean about enviouse people. I had an inline switch put in and i turn it off down the street from where i am going.

This setup works for me because it takes up little space.

With a smaller sub than the JL W6 12. It could be even lower profile. Not sure the mountint depth on the Alpine. But I know its no bigger than a JLW6. So it will fit and sound good. Not as good as a HUGE box, but deffinetly as loud as you will need.

I just finished putting together a new sealed box for my old sub. This past week I got cravings for some bass, so instead of buying a new setup that I really wanted to get -.-, I chose to save and use what I have in the closet. Freakin aye...well my tax return may pave the way for my custom i.c.e. :D HOPEFULLY, lol pix will be up later

nice setups everyone! so many variations for the tC seen so far

Here you go. Eclipse 4 ch amp, Polk 10" sub, (All hand-me-down)
I pulled the amp out of a customers car who didn't want it anymore, (I work at a stereo shop) had the sub sitting around. Built the box one day when we were slow.
1. the empty spare tire
2. Cut a 1/4" hard wood ring to fit over the spare.
3. Line the entire trunk with garbage bags, Staple trunk carpet to the trim ring and form into the spare.
4. 2 quarts of fiberglass resin soaked into the carpet. Let cure.
5. trim off the excess carpet. There is the Fiberglass tub , a perfect fit inside the spare tire.
6. Mount the tub to a 3/4 " board cut to fit where the old trunk board was.
7. Router out the hole for the sub.
8. Drop the sub in the box, the box into the spare tire, and wire up the amp.
9. Finnish off with a nice carpeted trim piece and BlaMmo!! Bass City.

i have three questions
is that a custom-made box?
is it possible to just buy one?
how big of sub is that? (more specifically, will it fit my 12")

i really really like that setup, and i would like my seats to be able to recline again; i lug my friends around a lot.

^. yes it is custom made. I got it done at the local audio shop. It is formed to the right of the spare tire and is snug until you take out the tire. then the box can come out to. And the floor is custom to fit.
Others have asked me how they can get one. If people are interested I could see if I could get the shop to make some up for me.
Thats a 12" JLW6 dual voice coil. I have in it. Its a big sub so if you find the depth of the one I have you can compare to the one you have.
My seats recline fully and fold down.

Im glad you like it. Its perfect for me. Take up very little space.
