Depends on how much wattage you're running, and even then, only the expensive caps fix, not band-aid the problem.

I'd use one if you're pushing 1500+ watts into subs.

haha.. i know im gonna get a lot of crap for this but it works. decided to get this passive sub since I wanted a little more thump and didn't want a bazooka. Also eD stealth enclosure wasn't on sale at that time. O well.. im satisfied with it.. maybe in the future i'll upgrade to eD setup and put this sub under my seat

Nice and clean, good job!

If I may give just a little advice, you made it look SO nice, but you didn't cover up the power wire under the hood with loom? That is the ONLY thing I can find "off" about the install, besides that, it looks great.
Great job. Clean and you still have space in the hatch.

Here is my temp SPL setup. The box is 3cf tuned to 35hz. The subs are MTX 7500s that I had laying around. Plan to go to some FI subs shortly.

Here are the rest of the pictures from the install.

Alpine deck, 4x Boston S60 speakers, 2x 12" JBL subwoofers, Kenwood 1000watt amp. When the trunk is closed it holds the box in place. Its that tight of a fit. It is very loud, even from the outside. Thinking that I might have some sound insulation done soon. Oh, and anyone have a solution for license plate/plate frame rattling? The actual plate is backed entirely with double sided 3M tape but I still get a lot of rattling between the plate and the plate frame. I don't want to take it off but I will replace it.
