problem with my odometer
okay heres my problem my odometer reads 9082. and sometimes part of the 9 will disappear and if i go on trip b the letter b will disappear sometimes. my dealer says it might be from my speakers draining to much power but i took it to the audio place and they said it might be the guage cluster it self. i did change the led in the guage cluster but i dont see anywhere were i mess up. this problems only happens once in awhile not always i dont know wats triggering it

Very unlikely that it's the speakers. You'd usually just see it dimming if the power is being drained - not just a letter or character having issues.
But if you swapped the LEDs in it, the dealer likely won't touch it anyway. You may want to just take it apart again and doublecheck your work.

The speakers causing it is one of the dumber things I have heard a dealer say in a while .. yet another case of a tech with almost zero electrical knowledge.. but I digress...
Most likely, unless the LCD is cracked, the issue was a poor connection or something conductive shorting the pins out. Taking the LCD out of its socket and replacing it may fix it. I would have cleaned the pins with alcohol just to be sure though. You can also check the pins on the other side of the board where the socket connects to see if there is anything laying between two of them, like a loose solder blob. The other option is actually damage to the board, but I would say that probability is less likely unless you have done something to damage it.

the CEL is an emissions thing. i know this is very off topic but check the vacuum hoses near the air box. they come loose pretty easy when you change the air filter.
get auto zone to pull a code for you and see where to go from there

The CEL can be any number of things (an evap system code just being one of very, very many) ... one of which being driving without the gauge cluster in.. which sounds more pertinent to what he has worked on, hence the first thing to check. If that is not the case, then have the code pulled and let us know what it is and we can help you find the cause.
