Your talking about a 1400 watt amp...where are you getting the power from to push this amp? haha not from your stock alt....With a paint job like that, go BIG or don't do it at all. Buy Quality products and you won't be let down.

ok i have to stop you all.

first of all i run 3 pdx's in my car. AND ive worked in a very nice stereo shop in my hometown.

its not that you dont have to take the pdx down to 1 ohm ITS THAT YOU CANT. that amplifier is designed to run at 2 or 4 ohms at 14.4 v and produced 1000watts RMS. now if you go out and buy any amplifier for less than 800-900 (except a crossfire) you will be given a PEAK power rating meaning that that is the most that amplifier can produced wide open with a bunch of distortion.

the pdx is clean and powerful. it made a customer of mines nose literally bleed. i love mine as well and it loves me back.

another thing. if you have two dual 2 ohm subs you are going to want to SERIES your subs to raise the ohmage of each sub to 4 ohms. then you want to find an amplifier stable to 2 ohms (in other words it makes peak power safely at 2 ohms) and run the speaker leads into chs 1 and 2. the amplifier will see a 2 ohm load because you have paralleled your connection and be happy and run cool.

IF YOU DO IT THE OTHER WAY: you will burn your amplifier up because your ohms will way way too low/unstable.

the rings look great but you might want to take a dremel and cut a little lip around the outside so you have somewhere to staple the fleece too.

that will make life a lot easier

K enrique..lol take it easy man jk
no i will be running it at 2 ohms not 1 ohm my miscalculation. the nine.1 will be able to give it 450w @ 2ohms. You think there will be alot of diffence in 50 watts. Anwyas 1 sub was loud at 500w @ 1 ohms so ill see how loud 2 subs are at 450@ 2ohm

man you know nothing about other companies other than alpine. the nine.1 is rated at 1200 watts @ 1ohm, 12 volts and that is an RMS rating. at 14.4 it puts out approx 1500 @ 1 ohm RMS. you need to read and i know PLENTY of other companies that put out their amp in rms wattage than just alpine. to say that alpine owns all is a falsitude in fact i despise alpines stuff minus their HU's. there are tons of amps for under 800-900 that are great. examples: dls, zapco, eD, us amps, etc... the fact that you said ohmage makes you lose all credibility to me. additionally rvpps just use this. it will help you wire your subs. if you have 2 d2's just wire them in series and present the nine.1 with a 2 ohm load. remember its rated at 450 watts RMS at 12.2 volts. when you're car is on you'll have 14 ish volts and be getting about 650 rms so you should be louder than what you had before. and 450 for a used amp is a horrible deal. you got a great deal on the nine.1 don't listen to enrique he doesn't know ____ about any other company than alpine and even with alpine i question his ability
