thats what i was told for my setup aswell however, for some reason mine didn't work without 2 relays which kinda makes sense i mean if toyota/scion choice to keep them seperate there probabley was a reason for it so i would use 2 i mean relays come in packs anyways so its not any more expensive

Could somebody give me a suggestion, mine wouldn't work with one relay and one set of starter and ignition wires used. Do I have to wire up both sets of the starter and ignition wires?

Im split between the pivot and the s2k button, did you have to cut your cigarette lighter hole at all to make room for the button?

use 2 relays megrog2.. both starters and main ignition need to be tapped

and i had to do a little modifying to get s2k button to fit in .. wasnt too hard (used my solder tool to melt away plastic bit by bit to make it fit)

How did you tap the wires from the harness? Did you have to remove the wires from the inside of the plug?

Yes you must power both starter wires and both ignition wires. Well you may be able to get away without the 2nd Ignition wire but you will likely be missing some systems and will probably have warning lights on the dash if it even runs. The car will not crank at all with only one starter hooked up.

combatsteve do you think you can explain the wiring a little bit more to me in terms of which relay terminals connect where?

Sorry to bring up an old thread but has anyone seen a decently priced Ignited push start button in blue?

Also, would this interfer with a two-way pager alarm system with auto-start?
Thanks

i didnt find one with blue.but the one i bought you can change the light to blue if you want to. it shouldnt interfere with the alarm because the button is really just being used as a replacement for the key ignition start. correct me if im wrong

I wired my remote start to my push button so when I push the button on the alarm it acts just like if I pushed the actual button in the car.
