Default Scanguage II cable routing

I just ordered a scangauge II to check codes on my Fiancee's car. After that, I'm going to just have it running on my TC till I need to use it to clear codes again in the future. With that being said, I've searched the forums for cable routing solutions. I've seen many pictures of people mounting it in the cubby hole with Doc I's or other cubby plates. I haven't been able to find pictures or details about how people have routed the scangauge cable.

I already bought Doc I's cubby plate, Can anyone share how they routed their cable for me?

Pictures would be great if any drilling or cutting was involved.

Thanks!

i have mine mounted in the cubby with the Doc I panel...I took out that little LED that lights up the cubby and ran the wire through that and under the dash to the OBD port. i did have to make the whole a little bigger though since the plug on the end of the cable is pretty thick but it works out great!!

Did you have to drill a hole in the back of the HVAC?

if you do it like i did, there is no need to drill a hole since the hole is already there...just take the LED out since you wont be able to see it anyways

Since you had to enlarge the hole, is it reversible? Would I be able to put the light back in when I sell the car?

Took my radio cover and shifter surround off and decided to dremel a small channel for the cable right behind where the Doc I panel goes. Sits flush and is covered if I decide to take the scangauge out in the future. Thanks for the suggestions people.
