Haha you know... I started doing my headliner in that same color! If you were thinking about doing the doors, be prepared for a major PITA! Its not applying the fabric thats a problem... its getting the inserts out and removing the fabric and foam thats already there...

how much fabric did you use? i've got a couple of yards of black suede like material waiting for my attempt when the headliner and pillars come out. also, i guess the third time really is a charm, what technique did you use this time!? looks good.

I had 2 yards of fabric.

I just started with the back (rear dome light). The way I went ahead and did this was roll the fabric up only where the backside is facing me. Then I spray the headliner with the adhesive, then spray the backside of the fabric. Wait about a minute so it gets tacky, then lay it down, and smooth it out with my hand. make sure you press down hard onto the headliner and smooth it out or you'll get wrinkles. You have to work quick because the bond can get so strong you'll have to pull the fabric up hard if you get any air pockets. So i suggest working at least 4" at a time with the width of the headliner. take your time, and make sure you spray the edges of the headliner too, and wrap the fabric around the edges. last thing you need is to go back and stretch the edges around the headliner cuz it will be tedious. i had to do that, whatever fabric wasnt tacked onto the headliner, i got some scrap fabric and sprayed some adhesive on and dabbed the headliner with some and the fabric also. stretched and held onto it for about 30 seconds, and it bonded.

i wish i did a DYI with pix, but i'm too anxious and dont have patience when its started to stop and take pix, lol.

and Dave, of course I know who to goto :D

awesome, thanks for the input. thats good cuz i got 2 yards also! so you found it easier to work from the back to the front then, and side to side. i'll give that a shot.
