Default Small Sub wiring Quest...(Kicker)

I just got one 10" Kicker CompVR Subwoofer, Model CVR10. I noticed that the sub comes with four Terminal ponits. The two red's and two blacks. Now from what i understand from the manual i ethier have to connect my ONE dual voice coil sub in Parallel or Series. Do i need connection to all four Terminals or only two seeing how i'll be only using one sub.

make sure you wire it according to the ohm load you want your amplifier to be running at... give us the model of amp and impedance of the sub and we can help with that too!

I looked up the sub, it's DUAL 4 ohm... which means each pair of terminals is a 4ohm load... I can't find anything on a "v8002" amplifier... is it an "a8002V"?? if so, you'll only be able to get 400 watts from one channel of the amp (running 2ohm which is parallel wiring) because it's only bridgeable at 4 ohms... 400watts should be plenty for that sub, but you're only able to use half the amp...

are you sure it's wired correctly? If not, it could be detrimental to your sub or amp... I'm just trying to help out..

yeah, that'd be the same as running only one side of the amp with the sub in parallel... you should be good as long as all the levels/adjustments are set correctly..

Well thanks for the help everyone but i sold my kicker sub to a friend. He liked the box it had so why not. Now i'm getting two more 10'' or 12'' kicker subs. First what would be better for a tC two 10's or two 12's. what ohms should i buy it at either 8ohms or 4omhs. Remember i got a Audioahn 8002V amp.

depends on the type of kickers you want and the type of box you want to put them in --- I like 2 - 10's or a higher power 1 - 12. It depends how much space you want to take up to get the subs in the correct size box for your car.

Heres the box size it's 31''L by 13.5" W and 13.5" H. The box well be the same size for 2 10's or 2 12's. So i can get either or. Now i'll be getting the Comp Series which i think are single voice coil and both the 10's and 12's run at 150rms each. I'll give you links.http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_3826.html
http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_5119.html

Now like i said before what will work better for me the 4omh's or the 8 ohm's for my type amp and is two ten for a tc plenty or should i couff up 10 bucks more and get two 12's?

If it was me I would go with two of these
http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAu...roductID=14817

or if you want 10's then 2 of these
http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAu...roductID=14818

both of those subs are dual 4 ohm which can be wired to 2 ohms, putting 400 watts to each sub.
