Some Electronical Questions
I'm trying to wire up some things in my ride, but I'm no electrician so I would appreciate any help I can get.
How do you figure out what resistor you need to power a single LED from a 12v source?
How do you put 2 LED in a series with the right resistor, 3 LED in a series with the right resistor and so on.
I'm having problems trying to figure it out because i never new electricity like this, i only just did basic hookups, never solving equations. Also, what equation of OHM's law you use to figure it out?
Do you need different resistors for different colors, just regular LED http://www.oznium.com/led
Thankx a bunch!

If you buy leds made to wire directly to a 12V source, they probably already have resistors built in. Regular LEDs do not. And color does make a difference.
Blue, white and super green leds drop approximately 3.0 - 3.4 V (typically closer to 3.0 running at 15 - 20mA in my experience). Red leds drop about 1.9V. So it will change your calculations.
Most of the rest can be found at the link SquallLHeart posted above.
