speakers hissing sound
my speakers are making weird sounds. it sounds like there is a whistling or hissing sound . so when i have music on i dont hear it but like if i have the volume at 20 and i put it on pause or if i change the song i can hear the hissing sound it doesnt sound like uhh engine or alternator whine. i dont know what it is...
heres my current set up

1 amp from trunk powering my front two infinity kappa 60.9cs speakers. i have both sets of wires ran from the right side to each door. the front left speaker wire is ran behind the head unit across the steering wheel then down to left door.
subwoofer is powered by kicker 350.2 powering a boston acoustic g3.

^x2, i recommend shielded RCA cables with a grounded shield on one end, also route the RCA cables away from any wires that are under the radio, most of those wires give off alot of EMF, as i have ran into this issue many times.

so you guys are saying. that i should rewire the speaker wires and rca wires. with the tube thing forgot the name 1 tube for speaker wire 1 tube for rca cables? and get a tube for the ground cables too?

the speaker wires are fine, its the low signal wires (aka the RCA wires) that are picking up noise from the car wiring under the radio. if you shield the RCAs (i would say from the radio to shifter area) then you should have alot less noise if not all the way gone.

What I would do if I were you is pull your dash back apart and the head unit out, but leave it plugged in. Duplicate the problem, then wiggle and pinch and move the wires around and see if you can affect the problem. If that doesn't help, then we'll probably need more information to help.
::EDIT::
Sorry I missed the part about the amp powering the components. Nevermind what I said! These guys are right.

Before automatically jumping right into your car and ripping out all of your already done wiring....try adjusting your gain on your amp with the sound off until the "hissing" goes away.

I'd have to agree, as gain setting is most likely the cause. You can get almost any amp/system to "hiss" when the gains are turned up too high and music isn't playing. Car audio contests often test for this using an "absense of noise" track.
