Default Strange amp issue

So last month my amp died. I held on to that little 100 watt Rockford Fosgate for much too long and its time finally ran out. Bought a Blaupunkt 400w amp and it sounds beautifully. Anyways, When I shut off my car, it goes to accessory mode, and then when I go to take the keys out....it stays in ACC mode....

Essentially my car will not shut off when that amp is plugged it.

Anyone ever heard anything like that?

(Sorry if this is a repeat, search isn't working for me...)

do you have the stock or aftermarket headunit because it is wired to a wrong wire and it will kill your battery. if stock radio then on the power plug on the bottom row (forgot which pin it is) but it's a grey cable that you tap into and it should shut off when you take out the keys from the ignition. if the radio is aftermarket then it should have it's own remote lead that you wire it too so it can turn on and off with the headunit.

Its the damndest thing, plugged it back back in this morninig and its all working perfect again...

To answer your question yes, I was tapped into the stock headunit remote wire. Like I said, I had an amp for a couple of years now and it worked perfect, until I installed this new one.

I'm wondering if maybe my power cable was touching the trigger wire which prevented the radio and stuff from grounding when it shut off. I feel like that would be a little too much power to travel over that tiny wire though...

power wire to amp need to goto the battery, remote wire to the deck remote, make sure you have wires hooked up cleanly,a gremlin short will come back and cause more problems, and it is usually when it is raining and dark out that the entire car dies.
