Default Sub recommendations

Hi all, I have been reading posts around here for a while, and this is my first post so please be kind...
I am loking for a recommendation for a subwoofer. I am going to be building a box similar to this one https://www.scionlife.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=158758 and i was looking for a sub that would fit, and here is my list that I have narrowed it down to.
JL 10W1v2-4
Rockford P1S410
Rockford P3SD410
MTX US-XT10
Pioneer TS-SW1041D
kicker comp10
kicker compvt10
and here are some more detailed specs on all of them

I only have two limits if some one wants to suggest one i missed, and that is that it needs to be under 5.5" deep, and I am only looking at 10" subs

out of what you listed I would go with the 10W1v2. Second choice would be the kicker CVR10, never heard the VT.

How about an eD 11Kv.2???? it's 5in mounting depth.... will probably outperform all those listed, has 5 year warranty, and is only $115....

I was thinking about getting two 8inch ED subs - which amp should power them? also - its stating D2 and D4 coils when order - which would I want if I was going to run two subs?

I was thinking about putting them in a sealed ED box.

the only sub that would fit is the Pioneer TS-SW1041D and even then its a rip off. just buy the loaded sq 10 box from elemental.

A Nine.2 will work with two D4 subs wired in parallel.

i vote for MTX or Kicker. Nice quality subs, without breaking the bank. also audiobahn makes a wide range of subs for affordable prices.

is D4 saying there are two terminals on one side and two on the other? ....meaning d2 would just be two on one side? I tried to look it up on my own but wasnt sure which was the right one.

D4 means Dual Four. That means that each coil (+ and -) have a resistance of 4 ohms. D2 means Dual Two, each coil has a resistance of 2 ohms. What this means to you is that you'll want to pick the setup that allows you to reach the ohms you want the sub to be fed from your amp of choice. Go to www.edesignaudio.com and click Subwoofer Wiring down on the bottom left side.

With two 9kv.2s, the only 8" sub offered by ED, you'll want the Nine.2. The Nine.2x is what i'm using for my 130.v2, and I see up to 70 volts AC coming out of it when I crank the gain all the way up. 600 watts is 49, so you do the math. In conclusion, the Nine.2x is overkill for your situation.

That was a D2 sub bridged. You'll bridge two D4 9kv.2s wired parallel on a Nine.2 to extract 400 watts out of it (200 each).

The Nine.2X is putting out:
200 x 2 @ 4ohm

The Nine.2 is putting out:
1 x 400 @ 4Ohm, 2 x 150 @ 2Ohm
2 x 100 @ 4Ohm
