Which Sub should I buy?
Ok first let me say I have 2x .668 cubic feet volume enclosures sealed. Now the 2 subs im debating on are either http://www.crutchfield.com/p_13610W1...ml#details-tab or http://www.crutchfield.com/p_107MM10...io-MM1040.html
I currently have the following set up atm, 2x polk db6501 components up front, stock rears, Avic d3, soundstream rubicon 5.800 amp.

I had a W1V2 back in high school and to be honest, it was junk. I loved the look, but it was not a good sub.
Check out the Alpine Type-S. In my experience, it's a far superior sub than the W1. Until you get up to about the W3, I am not impressed with JL's.

look into Sundown! I'm in the process replacing my 12" Polk SR124DVC 700RMS 1400w w 2.0cu ft. Enclosure, with a Sundown SA-8v2 8" Sub btw it's 500rms but most peoples putting around 600-700rms on them without a problem, plus it only need 0.80cu ft. enclosure save space and better bass... I've owned 10" Kicker L7, JL 10W3V2 and 12JLW7. After I tested the Sundown E8v2 8" 200RMS against my 12" I was amazed how hard that little beast hits...

With kicker they pounds but you need to go with 12" and maybe two of them in a huge box, specially in a hatch you can trigger a cop a few block away. But again look into Sundown just a single 8" or 10" will make people think you probably has two 12" in there!!! look up on youtube just one 8" SA-8v1 which is 400RMS put out around 152+db, but those are V1 the v2 has 500RMS and more beefer, also V3 is coming out soon... I can't wait to get mine...

save yourself some money and go through sonicelectronix.com or hookedontronics.com; crutchfield charges out the ___ for products; and out of the two i'd go jl; polks only good for components

Id only go to crutchfield for headunits if its your first time putting one in your car, because you get free wiring harness and dash kit, plus an in depth guide to install for your specific car if your new to the whole car audio scene

Ok having a problem with install of the components and my amp (subs still haven't been purchased yet but ty for the input). I connect the Speakers & Tweeters to the Xover's and then the Xovers to my amp. And then I connected my Hu AVIC D3 "Frount Speaker Output" via rca to my amp's channel 1 & 2 rca inputs. Im not getting any sound. The light on the top of my amp A Soundstream Rubicon 5.800 is on but the light next to the 3 fuses is off. Any clue?
