Sunroof Control-Orange Wire-Tap In Help!
Ok, so i got my Beltronic Tap in to the Orange sunroof control wire.
1st Question
Well in the process of trying to cut the covering back off the wire to put in the t-tap, i accidently cut the wire. Using wire connectors and some extra wire to reconnect the wire, and tap into the wire, i believe i fixed it.
But to be sure, if the orange wire is not connected, the sunroof will not work right?
2nd Question
The grounding. I connected the Ground to Pin 7 on the sunroof control. From Wiring Diagrams, it says pin 7 is a ground. I originally connected it to one of the bolts in the DIY but after getting shocked over and over from my door frame and the button on my lights etc, i ended up t-tappin it into pin 7. Is this alright? Pin 7 is the sunroof controls ground correct?
So far Radar Detector Turns on, Sun roof Still works.
Just want to double check with you guys to make sure i did this alright.

right, well I'm not sure what your doing but if the sun roof is working, then the wire is probably okay. Moreover for future reference, when your using a T-tap you do not need to strip insulater from the wire. When you squeeze the tap shut it does it for you.

if the orange wire is exposed everything will work, may just cause a short later on... cover it...
as for the ground, if the radar detector is working, then that is a ground.
batman - he installed his radar detector up high and hardwired it to the sunroof power.
