I just bought the bazooka sub and box for my 05 tc and was wondering if anyone has swapped the sub for something nicer? I am running an different amp aswell. It hasnt been delivered yet so I dont know the quality of the box. will it rathher or be too weak for a nice sub like a type R or a Kappa Perfect?

There have been a few people here that swaped out the bazooka driver for something better, so you might find their threads with a bit of searching. I think most chose to seal the port and make it a closed box.

It can work very well, provided the replacement is a good match for the enclosure. I seem to recall people saying it's about 0.75' internal volume, so you could find a sub that works well with that much space in a sealed box, then just seal the port and stuff the box. If you want to keep it vented, you'll have to measure the I.D. and length of the port, then find a sub that'll work in .75' with that size port.

yea... they also sell them not in bright color so they don't pop out at your face. lol

the one i used to use had a smooth brushed aluminum look with a small collapsible handle.
