Hey everyone, I went out and test drove the tC I plan on getting within the month last weekend. I had the seat all the way down, and i had room height wise, but not much, is there any other way to lower the seat anymore, do any other tall people (I'm 6'4") have any suggestions for coping with this, I don't see it as such a big deal, but I'm just looking around for anything else that could be done.

6'2 and im fine... with it al the way down... there's really nothing else to do :-/

Sunroof open all the time?

I am 6' and I don't have a problem..but I know how much of a problem it is for me to find anything comfortable..let alone add another 4" to me.

This is true, i mean, its not a problem, i drive a jeep now, but i was just seeing if anyone had done anything, i think i remeber reading on here that someone with an xB cut the metal or something.

My mom was laughing about driving with the sunroof open, and she was almost crying from laughing so hard when i was sitting in the backseat, with the front seats pushed all the way up...lol

Cuttin' up your ride? Way too much work for not enough reward. Just put the seat all way down and pimp it back a bit and you're good. I'm 6'5" and i don't have a problem.

Thats what my friend was joking about, just "lean back", i will have to go back to the dealer and try this

my friend is 6.4 and he is huge! he weight like 300 lbs and he said that he fit in the scion TC like a "glove" heh

at first it will be uncomfortable but later on you will realized that it does fit.....barely lol

yeah, i'm 6'3", 230 pds, and the tc feels "just right" and my legs are pretty long, but literally i feel great cause i can rest my left elbow on the door and hold the steering wheel, and my right elbow on the armrest and reach the shifter and just shift with my wrist. pedal placement seems great.

and i drive it two hours straight every friday and monday without complaint about comfort. so i think you can tolerate it if you get one.

oh yeah, and i just got trd lowering springs and getting in and out still isn't a chore. so yeah it is a great car.

thats the same thing my friend said. he said it just right cus his arms is in good length to the shifter and he can change gear on his clutch with ease....tall people are sexy so dont let yourself down ;)

i was wondering if 19x8 with 35 offset rims will do fine with TRD lowered spring? it said process coilover and i dont want to buy one cus im not interesting in changing the measurement.

Did you try pushing the seat lowering lever more than once? It works in a ratcheting fashion. So you can push it down about 4-5 times before it hits the bottom of the adjustment.

Once you push it all the way down once, you can release it and push it down again and it will lower even further. You can do this a few times before you bottom out. You may have tried this, but thought I would bring it up just in case you didnt notice that.

Im 6'2'' and i have no problem fitting in mine i think you'll be fine

Ya, it's tight, imo. I'm only 6'2", but long waisted and it took some getting used to. Always have it at lowest setting and reclined to where I can just reach the wheel comfortably, yet my hair still touches the roof. Seems like all reasonably priced cars are a compromise in some way, as I couldn't get in or out of a new Civic w/o hitting my head, and at least the tC doesn't have such a bad door opening height.
