Default TRD Sequential Shift Light Indicator (take a look)

http://www.trdsparks.com/scionshiftlight.htm

Check this out. I was in the market for a shift indicator light and I found this. You could program the rpm signals where desired AND the coolest part is that it records your A/F ratio and rpm data which you can see on the main display. $300.

>>> i'm comparing it to this:

http://store.racinglab.com/stplshinli.html

*same thing, without the A/F ratio and rpm display. $50.

I like the way it looks (even though the LEDs don't match the ones in the car), but can't justify spending $300 on it.

I have had it for over a year and a half, did a nice review on it. Nothing special and a/f is totally not accurate. I bought it because it was $100 new from a local. Worth the $100 but not worth $300. Does help a TON if your pushing a lot more hp and have the problem were your engine outruns your stock tach in first and second gear !

$300 a bit much for a toy then, since it's supposedly inaccurate... Might as well get a disco ball, it's shiny*** too.

Nah... you can get the DEFI VSD Concept all over the place.... and it's pretty sweet... I have it flush mounted in my dash and it works plain nifty....

Bah.... cause the tach and speedo are down below, not in front of your eyes, also, you can see your speed on the front windshield and have two audible shift light sounds as well to ensure you don't miss a shift if you have to watch the track or other drivers...

Same concept as a fighter jet... eyes better spent in the right place, rather than having to look down.

It's about 300 for the VSD concept and install is fundamentally easy, just have to wire in to the tach and speedo wires... if you want to flush mount, that's where it gets tougher, as you need to find a location and cut into your dash... you could just use it on the dash... it works the same, but doesn't look close to as good though.
