Default Upgrading amp kit and amplifier, help me choose

Pretty much what the title says, this summer is coming and thats when i am going to start making money again!

My current setup is:

Fi Q 12" w/ bp option (dual 2)

Fs: 27.1 Hz
Re: 1.4 Ohms/coil
Qms: 5.63
Qes: .48
Qts: .44
Mms: 231g
Cms: 0.15mm/N
[Sd: 481cm^2
Vas: 48.3 l
Spl: 84.8dB 1W/1m
Bl: 15.1 N/A
Xmax: 27mm
Rms: 1200W - 1500W w/ bp option
Ported box: 1.8-2.5 cuft @ 28-33Hz
Sub OD: 12.500”
Cut ID: 11.125”
Mounting depth: 7.000”
Displacement: 0.16cuft

Kenwood 9104D, piece of sh!+, 1800watts only running 900 watts @ 1ohm lol. So thats why i am upgrading.

I am trying to choose between these amplifiers:

Hifonics BXi 1210D
http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_...Xi+1210D.html#

Sundown Audio SAE 1200D
http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/z...roducts_id=112

Are those good amps? Any more recommendations?

Also, I need to upgrade my amplifier kit because i am only running 8 gauge right now...

Not sure what kit to go with.. need some help there on a good kit.

Also, I am upgrading my box, which i already have designed for fisher customs to build.. it will be a 1.94cuft box after sub displacement, 13sq inches of port area, and tuned to 32hz. I still need to send the design to fisher customs to see if those are good stats for the sub.. SSA Fi forum recommended them...

But give me your input on amplifiers and an amplifier kit

for the kit you can get http://www.knukonceptz.com/ it's a good price for performance. And for the amp i would go with sundown it's very underrated and you won't be able to find a company that has better customer service then Sundown.

Did you check out what I gave you on your other thread? KnuKonceptz has some good, quality wires and you can't go wrong with them. 4awg will be good enough for your power and ground.

hit up db-r.com for your sundown needs. they sell refurb models which Sundown authorized them to refurb their amps. I bought my SAZ1500 from them over a year ago and it is still running strong right now.
I would suggest you get the SAZ over the SAE, the SAZ just have been around longer and its a proven amp.

For less than the cost of the sundown amp you could get a NINe.1 from Elemental Designs, same if not more output, well made.........hifonics not so good a product from what people on 12v forums say.

I haven't thought about ED, mainly because i wasn't impressed with their SQ10s, but i guess i shouldn't nix the company due to that.

I read a little on the12volt about how to pick an amplifier, but what exactly should i be looking for in an amp to know if it is a good amp?

I think im probably gonna go with the sundown audio saz-1000D. I have heard a lot of good things about sundown audio, and it overall has a better efficiency, around the same S/N Ratio, and is 1 ohm stable which is perfect for my Fi

The sundown is pretty efficient from what I can tell. I had the RF T10001bd amp that did 1531@1ohms according to the birthsheet, it was a good amp however it loved power. I can watch my voltage drop 13,12,11, and touches 10, I turn it off. This is during DB drag or just running it to hell and back. Also it dimmed my lights like crazy. I sold that amp and got the sundown saz1500, needless to say it gave the same power output, but it didnt hog power like it was its job. I rarely get dimming with it. At full tilt of my system it will consistently stay above 12v.
Also with the CS of sundown, need a question they answer it, got a problem they fix it.

would 1500 watts be pushing the fi q too much if it had the bp option?

If you watch your gains, it should be ok. Listen to the characteristics of the sub, if you are playing it and start to smell something or hear something out of the ordinary, turn it off.
