Default water bottle WARNING!

This is a warning for anyone who keeps water in there car for awhile. I have leds in every cup holder, and the only real way to show them off is to have a water bottle. So I always leave them in the car. Thinking there would be no harm right? WRONG. It turns out the sun light use the water bottle as a magnifine glass and melted the plastic around each cup holders. Since I removed all the labels on the bottles, I think this gave the sun light the angle to melt the plastic. So its my own dumb fault. Any way has this happened to anyone eles and any ideas to fix the marks. I was thinking about getting the vinal kit.

omg, I can't believe it melted the plastic like that. it might be worth harassing the dealership for a new one though.

Sucks you had to find out the hard way. Yeah, water is one of the best magnifying substances next to glass. Damn.

Wow, that sucks. Thanks for pointing that out, though. I had no idea water could gang up with the sun and do that.

Note to self: do not keep water bottles in cup holders whenever you get your LED light kit, lol.

you should put some goldfish in there too... that'd be pimp

I really can't drive with bottles in there anyways... gets in the way of my elbow and makes it uncomfortable to shift. Maybe I just have really long arms.

there's enough room under the console to glass a small tank, hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. now to find a way to keep the water cool during hot days.

makes sense since those bottles have an orange peel texture to them.

Just keep your eyes peeled for replacement parts. I guess that's all you can really do now.
