Default What's a good 8" Sub

I Just bought a 2008 tC and am looking for 2 good 8" subs that will sound great and take up minum space in the hatch. I plan on fiberglassing them in each of the rear corners of the trunk.

IMO and experience 8's are no where near the quality a 10 can produce. if you want a small sub go with a 10 and my personal favorites are fusion, and I like oxygen a lot as well

you could do tens in each corner easily but if you want some good eights look at either digital designs or sound splinter. also Ascendant Audio's Assassin line.

I've never heard of it, and I tend to not buy a sub I have never heard in person. What kind of sound do you want just a little thump tp up the bass or do you wanna be heard like 3 miles away

Just a little thump nothing major. I've heard of power acoustik before and actually bought many of there amps to use in different setups in my old cars. But I've never used the subs and am curious of how they would sound.

I couldnt tell you how the sub would sound but if you like their amps it may be good to try it out. My personal choice would be this
Fusion Encounter

Fusion does make pretty good stuff I had there door speakers in my 2000 Civic and they had some pretty good sound quality to them. I just don't know if I'm all about the green with a blue car. Lol I'm very picky and ocd when it comes to my cars.

the only decent stuff i'm reading so far in this thread is tcguy's comment....frankly all the other stuff is crap. i highly suggest you step up to 10's. and if you're gonna glass em in the corners of your trunk, then 12's will make no difference spacewise as compared to the 10. you lose the corner either way....might as well fill the corner up. what's your budget, and what's the rest of your system gonna be like.....can't do anything til you establish that.

I already have a amp and cap and all the wires so all i need is the subs. I really don't have a set budget but would like to keep it under $400

if you really want 8's then check out the companies i listed. they are the best 8's out there in terms or output, SQ and decent power handling.

2 8's will have great SQ and should get pretty loud if you do it right.

Crazy 8's are were its at. look into reaudio.com
The guy saying 10's are "better" than 8's has never heard a good 8" setup.

Get an 8 or two that are of good qaulity and you will be very happy.
You will not get crushing bass with 8's but it will sound very good. Its all about cone area and the install. You can easily make 2 8's sound better than a single 12.
