oh and you forgot 100% tech support for life. eD is the ONLY COMPANY that does that bc they don't want you blowing up their stuff.

NO CONTEST imho.

its personal preference. i prefer eD...DEAL WITH IT.

lastly...did i forget to mention no warranty on that kicker from hookedontronics?

THREE year warranty on eD's...

so if you wanna compare, then compare them on equal terms.

lowest price for an authorized dealer's sx600.2 appears to be cardomain's at $470. that earns you a 2 year warranty and a guarantee that its a brand new product, not a refurb.

so....a worse warranty and a $245 price difference? still wanna buy that kicker? feel free..thats your money...and thats why ive got a 9.2x in my car and not that kicker.

btw...what are the dimensions on that kicker? my nine.2x is nice and small...just a convenience thing i guess.

I am just beginning to delve into the world of car audio and ED is all I will be running in my car.

One thing that was mentioned above that I only found out recently was the voltages that the amps are tested at. Like tC_skier said, ED benchmarks their stuff at real world levels so you know pretty close to what you will be running.

Also, can you call up Kicker and have them walk you through setting the gains, how to wire your system, and any number of other questions? I bet you would get hung up on in a fast hurry. When deciding on my system, I don't know how many PM's were exchanged between me and Chris (Mandos) as well as numerious chats on AIM. What is Kicker's username on AIM by the way?

While they MAY lack slightly in performance, they more than make it up in price, customer service, tech support, availability, and any number of other areas.

The people are great and they are there to be the best product in the industry, not steal the most money from consumers.

Besides, what have you ever heard bad about ED that wasn't resolved immediately? I have heard NOTHING but good about this company. Kicker....eh. There is plenty of bad out there about them.
