Default whelen stobe install question<-----Please Help!!!!

does anyone know how i would be able to mount the whelen strobes in the high beams. I would be okay with getting rid of the high beams, can I do that?

all you have to do is remove the lights for the high beams and size the strobe ballast in it's place. The hole for the highbeam might be to small. If so just take a hole saw or drill or drimel and make the hole big enough to accomodate the light. If the whole is to big mount it the best you can and use high tempetrue silicone to seal it. The ballast for the strobes will get very HOT and melt plastic.

i'd go w/ bignoog's answer. if not you'll have to bake open the headlight. you/someone should get the cop wigwags or whatever they're called. that'll be fun,

Drill a 1" hole

If you want to do a clean and professional installation, I'd suggest removing the front bumper, removing the headlight assembly, baking the headlight in the oven, and pulling it all apart to install the strobe.

I took a hole saw and made a hole about 1 1/2 inches. then I took a 1" hole saw and drilled the hole for the ballast. The headlight is double walled. My strobe sits right in front of the highbeam and looks great. Also unless I point it out most people don't notice it. I'm a fireman so I have Whelen in the front and rear. They are BRIGHT but then I do have the 90 watt. For shows you don't need something that bright unless you just want it. I love flying down the road with my strobes going and watching people get out of the way hahaha. Being a fireman kicks ___
