Who makes a Harness bar?
#4
Or just build a harness bar. I have seen pics of tCs with them installed, but I think they were fabbed up custom. Have someone meaure it out, create mounting plates for the B Pillar and bend the tubing for you if you dont want to go the half cage route. Like discussed before about the harnesses, you just need to make it so that it is above your shoulder height while seated in the car, so the harnesses do their job correctly.
There is a caveat to this though. If you roll the car with a harness in, there is nowhere for you to move. So if the roof does cave in, you are done for. With stock belts, you will move side to side and have less chance of becoming much shorter in the same situation So to take the safest route, you should run a roll bar with harnesses. This is another reason I would never put harnesses in a daily driver. I wouldnt mind having them in mine just when I autox (not a lot of chance of rolling there) to keep me tight in the seat, but that is about it.
