Default Wiring issues? No sound after hooking up Line Converter Grnd

So I've been spectating this forum over the last few days more so then anything. I've hooked up 2 10" Infinity Reference Subs to a Infinity Amp and a line converter. I have double checked everything I can think of w/ this combination and the posts available.

I have from the back of the HU:
the BROWN (middle center pinout) to the ground of the line converter
the BROWN (right speaker pinout) to the Left Channel of the line converter
the RED(right speaker pinout) to the Right Channel of the line converter

From there I've just hooked it up like I have any normal sub. However, the sub never powers on, also when I connect the BROWN ground into the line converter, turn off the car, and turn it back on I have no sound out of any of the speakers.

Any ideas will be much appreciated, as this normal < one day project is quickly turning into 2 days.

Thanks for the advice in advance,

-havdisc

What do you have for the amp remote control?

You have an LOC with a ground?

Should just be speaker level(+/- for each channel) inputs.

So you should just wire the left channel of the LOC to one channel out the HU, the right to another channel, and for an amp turn on, splice into the ign. wire behind the deck

Should work then...if not, please yell at me.

Ok so I took the advice, and rewired and I still can't get the amp to power on, I have the grey ign wire hooked to the remote line of the amp, and power and ground connected and the amp will not power on. Mind you it's brand spankin new. Any thoughts?

is the amp itself not turning on? Or is the amp turning on and the speakers arent working?

Wow so I really don't know how to say this, but it was my ground. I had it hooked up to the rear tail light (where I've hooked up all the other systems I've put in) and I finally hooked up my multimeter and it wasn't pushin 12 volts. So I then found another grounding spot, and bam steady 12v. Now it's just fine tuning to get everything sounding just right. Thanks so much everyone.

Just for future reference guys, that "ground" you're talking about on the LOC isnt a ground. Its the negative input for what is called a Common ground stereo system, which most newer cars (like the last 15 or 20 years), do not have. So on our cars and most other cars, you dont use them, just use the 4 speaker wires, 2 for the left, 2 for the right.

Haha, I'm not an expert on the engine in our cars, but the stereo questions I can def answer, I'm a professional certified installer (haha, sounds fancy but it isnt). If you have any questions reguarding that stuff, please ask. Not saying that I have all the answers, but if I can answer your question, I'll be more than happy to help out!!
