Default Wiring through the firewall?

I've searched for this but couldnt find anything to answer this question.

What is the easiest or one of the easiest ways to get through the fire wall if I'm trying to wire some led's for under the dash and get to the battery?

Pics would be extremely helpful if you can provide them.

If there is a post to answer this elsewhere can you link it too?

there is a boot of wiring just above the the gas pedal. Look under the dash and look up! You'll see a bunch of wires bundled up going through the wall. Push the boot out a bit and youll create a gap and then pass your wires. When you are done, pull the boot back in to close the gap. Wallah you are done.

Wait i just read your post again. IF you are doing the leds under the dash then just use the 12v power in the cig. ligther. Tap the positive wire to the pos of the LED then tap the negative wire of the cig to the neg wire of the LED. And theny ou are done. NO need to run your wires directly to your battery.

Ah ha! Well then i guess the extra fuse and fuse holder i bought for my led's seems pointless because i didn think of tapping into the lighter for powere >.< Thanks though, i'll see if i can do that instead.

Wait, what about a switch that i had bought to turn the led's on and off?

I've actually always like tapping the fuse box for power. In my experience thats always been the easiest approach. Just something to consider.

its 1,000 times easier to get to that grommet if you take the dash off, and its pretty easy to do that too.

look there is a open power spot in the panel under the dash, get a 12v light up tracer and find it,hook up power to it for the LEDS and you are good to go,that is what I did and not a problem in nearly 20 months now.
