i think I paid about $120 bucks, the only things I can think of right now is to make sure to hook up the alarm in a way that when it goes off the hazard lights will come on and not the low beam headlights. Not good if u have hid's, maybe to the high beams though.

Some shops might not want to take the chance to install the turbo timer/remote start part cuz it's manual. Print the alarm manual and explain them the part that explains that u can program the car to only start under certain configuration, if when u turn off the car it is not on that configuration the car won't start..

Just a heads up I still wouldn't recommend the remote start, bad bad past experience on my other car... TWICE.

Good luck man, you'll love it especially the combo key pad

Well i believe the Zenisis is made for remote starting. If that is the case you will park the car, put your foot on the brake, pull up the e-brake and then let your foot of the brake and press the remote start button twice. I know that was confusing but it makes sure that your car is in neutral every time before you can remote start it. The new viper 5701 works like this. And if you car alarm goes off or if it senses your door trigger then you will need to repeat the previous sequence.

The chip in the key is solved by purchasing a XK05 module that stores the chip information in a little box. It also ties to the stock security system in the vehicle, door triggers, locks and much more. So there is no need to put a spare key inside your car.

You should have no problems if the shop is willing to do the install. Many will guarantee their work for life.

Do you have any more questions I can help you out with?

No dont worry about the parking lights. Usually its parking lights that flash. Its not a big deal changing them around, you just change the resistance value in the wire.

And yes the older modules would require a spare key put inside whats called a 556UW. This then has a wire that goes around the key cylinder. When you activate the remote start the wire sends a signal to the key cylinder and the car thinks the key is in the ignition.
