Default Zenesis E502AS Remote Start Reserve mode help

Hello all,

I recently finished wiring my zenesis e502as alarm and am running into an issue with setting up the reserve mode for the remote start. I have followed the steps in the owners manual for setting up manual reserve mode, but every time I take the key out of the ignition (which the steps call for) the engine turns off (I realize that this is normal, but the manual says that the engine should still be running).

Anyone know how to set it up properly? I spent about 2 hours last night trying to get it set.

Thanks,

Josh

Pairing the alarm can be a PITA. It took a few tries to get it right.

1. Insert the key in the ignition.
2. Turn the key to the ACC position (the position between OFF and ON).
3. Cycle between ON and ACC 5 times and leave it in the ON position the fifth time. (ACC-ON-ACC-ON-ACC-ON-ACC-ON-ACC-ON). ***
4. Press button 1 on each remote control once. For each remote control, you'll receive a confirmation chirp, and the parking lights will flash. (Alarm accepts up to 3 remote controls)
5. Turn the key to the OFF position once all remote controls have been confirmed.
***NOTE: You must do steps 1-3 within 3 seconds.

It actually only took 4 turns for my parking lights to flash. And you recieved the full kit. The shock sensor is dual stage it just looks like it isnt. And the windshield sensor acts as the LEDs. The approaching sensor is optional and doesnt come included.

I have tried that 4 times now and it does not flash/chirp. I believe that I wired it in correctly (I used the Scion Wiring Diagram Booklet and Mechanical books for reference). Where did you wire the blue parking light wire on the CN1 connector?

Do you know where the wires for the other connectors went so that I can double check my wiring?

Thanks.

By the way, I used the in-line wire splicers (the ones that you use a pair of needle-nose pliers to pinch the wires together side-by-side).

Everything is wired and functioning correctly except for the remote start. Read the first post for details and thanks in advance for any help!

Thats the one reason why I took that alarm out of my tC, I couldnt get it to go into reserve mode for nothing. I tried a million and one times to get it done and nothing. I have a Compustar now and it works flawlessly.

Sorry I can't help you with it, just my .02. Sorry
