Default 05 Scion tC handbrake/e-brake question

how far do you have to pull up on your handbrake to stop the car from moving?


not sure if it's a fair comparison, but my friend's acura rsx and hatchback civic only need the handbrake to be pulled about....4 inches...?
i noticed i had to pull my tC's handbrake about twice that length...almost as high as it'll let me.

i know it's not accurate measurements, but there's just a big difference between my tC and the acura and honda.


is it just a toyota thing?

i thought the same thing with mine, the dealership says that its normal but im thinking of having it reajusted just because thats what im used to.

almost all the way up. unlike my corolla's, that you have to pull up about 2 inches...but it's not as strong as the tC's.

There was a topic on here about 2 or 3 days ago on how to adjust it. Try searching... you might find it. I'll cross my fingers for ya.

Im actually from Chester, go to school in Philly, but currently live in Aston. I just say Philly cause nobody knows Chester or Aston.
