1/4 mile
Anyone put enough miles on their TC yet to make it out to the track? After driving the car for a week now, i still haven't revved above 4k rpm, but the car definately accelerates much smoother than my celica gts did. (6spd) The torque really makes the car feel nice when its pulling. I'm wondering if the car will run quicker than 15.7 stock

Forget the racing aspect, it's not everything, as I wanted a TA Ram Air or atleast a Mustang GT at first!!!! This car is one of those "overall outstanding" value cars, and should be treated as one!! This car is 160hp stock, and the Mustang Gt is what, 260hp and the TA is 305 stock???? Even with the s/c, it's only 200-215 TOPS!!!! If you bought this car to race, then I feel sorry for you, as I bought it as an nice lil hatch that has decent pickup, reliability, and some nice stock options. IT'S NOT A RACING CAR, HELLLLLLO!!!

Yea, i said before in another post that when test driving my celica was alot faster. 14.3@98 with intake and unbolted muffler. I didn't buy the TC because it was fast, i just thought it felt quicker than 15.7 is all i'm sayin

With a supercharger and DRs I wouldn't be surprised at all if someone ran mid 14s... I'm gonna disagree with you on this.
hahaitzskippy, I have to call BS on you, sorry. Theres no real way you could of tied a GT-S, stock. If it was an auto, I'll give you a "maybe-it-could-be-done" but then you say it was a modded GT-S so I'm gonna have to lean more towards BS there. I "guess" the driver might not of known how to drive but if it was modded I'm sure he/she would of at least had a good idea...
No offense to anyone, but thats just my .02.

you guys should be able to do mid 15's stock. I raced a black tc 5spd manual no mods. I know the guy, andrew, zoltiz on this board. after we did his springs.
I have a 2003 Tiburon GT v6 5spd with AEM CAI and SS catback. he kept up pretty good. and i can run a 14.7. with what i have when i do my minor weight reduction. AKA take out my 200lb sub enclose with subs etc. and overall weight = about 400lb's lost.
When we raced we were both fully loaded. both had passengers.
superchaged with exhaust you should def be in the 14's with a good driver.
without some major mods you guys might do as the tib does vs type s. take em off the line and hold on till about 2nd gear then their gone. As of right now tho, when i turn on my fuel tuner, im hanging with type s's. As it stands now, im beating stock mustang gt's manual. Not in 1/4 times. the gt has too much of a initial pull. Just be happy about this, your car just came you life and the rsx is discontinued :-D

I ran a 14.4 with a chip on my 02 GTI which is putting me around 200 hp to the flywheel. Although at the time i was running 100 octane, which gives me about 210hp. Sooo I would say with a TC w/ SC, exhaust and intake should EASILY be in the mid 14s and lower especially with some minor weight reduction.
