Default 1NZ-FE engine components

i was raised on the 4ag engine and know the wonders it can do. i also know that parts can be swapped out between that motor and other motors. i am wondering if anyone knows if the 1nz-fe has a counter part that can components can be changed around with. ex. pistons switched from a different engine to this one.

if this has been posted already, then please provide me a link. i wasn't able to locate anything.

That just talks about a engine swap, something which ikonXone isn't talking about.

Going back to topic, you could try looking at the 1.3L 2NZ-FE. Other than that, I don't think Toyota has made any more gen's of the "NZ" series.

The link you provided talked about the external of the engine. ikonXone is interested in the internals of the engine. Take for example the 4A engine, it's possible to mix and match heads with the 4A engine with other engines like the 7A and the 5A. Or take the individual thottle bodies of the 20V 4A engines and fit it onto the 16V 4A engines. Now if you want to talk about whether parts are interchangeable between the 1NZ-FE and the 2ZZ-GE, I highly doubt that theres any parts that are interchangeable between those engines. But if you look at the 2NZ-FE, which I mentioned previously, you might find something that could be useful. Reason why is that since both the 1NZ and the 2NZ are in the same engine families, Toyota more than likely used similar parts between those engines.

I did a little search on Google and I found this:

http://panasonic.co.jp/mbi/products/.../toyota/17.pdf

It's a PDF document showing what looks like engine specs for some Toyota engines. It's interesting to not that theres a 1NZ-GE listed on there. Who knows if that's a typo or if that engine even exists. But if it does, GRAB THAT HEAD!! :D
