I know that the 06 will start selling in around september. Dealer said there is a wait of 6-8 weeks to get the next batch of 05 tC's.

Is there a major difference between the 05 and 06? Is it worth it to wait for the 06?

wth.... i test drove a tC today and he said he could get any tC i wanted within a week... was he completely lying out his ___??

he could very well be as he said the super charger was readily available and i just said 'you might wanna double check that'. also store manager made a call and got told sept. as when the '06's are coming

 

I've been waiting two and a half weeks for my car to arrive. Also, I think we'd know if the supercharger was out as a few dealer reps here would post it.

 

Hmm, funny cuz up here at Jack Taylor's in Northern, VA. They are readily availiable, I saw the red TC there too, I'm pondering on copping that tC. BTW I like the red but I don't like my car without the Scion logo on the front for some reason.

 

how about you get that tC and I'll trade you my grill with the logo plus I'll give you cash I'm located in va beach so i'll come to you!

 

WAIT!!! The 2006's are coming out in September!?!? I thought it was near Mid June? I'm trading my manual in for an auto but if it's in september, I'm trading one for another 2005 right now. Can anyone confirm this?

 

there is no release date as of now. im sure they will be out by June/July. September seems too late considering the 05's were released almost a year ago now

I have been hearing about mid-summer as release as well. Listen, no dealer knows!

If they are telling you anything that is beyond the summer, they are simply trying to get a sale out of you sooner. Think about it. Why would Scion release a car in the fall? Who releases a car in the fall when all the new releases are typically spring/summer?

Not that it is of any 100% credibility, but I briefly spoke with "Bob" on the scion.com chat last week, and he said a June/July release is likely. I don't believe they [Bob & Co.] would be able to blow smoke up our asses since they're representing corporate. They will normally say something like, "We currently do not have that information" otherwise.

 

yeah, i agree fausty. besides, the dealers that actually post/participate at this site have no reason to lie. they just give the information as they receive it and i would say pretty close to 100% of what they tell us is correct and credible.

I asked the dealer where I got my car about this.... because he is suppossed to let me know once they get SIRIUS in for the tC's. He said they were told late June is when the 2006 tC's would start showing up. That would be 1yr from when the 2005 tC first hit the scene. He also said that they were told of two changes.. a different head unit, and radio controlls on the steering wheel... I dont have any reason to not believe considering that a person from corp scion was down there the other day going over the upcoming accessories to be released for the various Scions. Also was go over info on the 1.0 tC and the 2.0 xB...
